Financial Accountant - Oudtshoorn - Western Cape

JOB DESCRIPTION:

An exciting new vacancy has opened up! Our client is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated and driven Financial Accountant to join their company, based in Oudtshoorn.

Requirements:

B.Com Degree or equivalent with completed SAIPA articles will be an advantage
Minimum of 3 years’ accountancy experience (preferably at an accounting / auditing firm)
Knowledge of income tax, VAT and other statutory returns
Must have knowledge and experience working with computer systems such as Excel, Sage and Pastel (or any other relevant accounting program)
Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Must have good people skills
Must have good knowledge and understanding and background of accounting
Problem solving skills
Must be able to manage time effectively and be self-disciplined
Must be able to work with a high level of accuracy

Duties (included but not limited to):

Maintain and reconcile cashbooks to the bank statements
Compilation of financial statements
Accounting work consisting of the following: stock control, debtors and creditors, journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations etc.
Reconciliation of VAT201and PAYE201 returns with financial statements
Complete Income tax returns and handle SARS queries and audits

Salary: R23k CTC
