Financial Accountant (CA Preferred)

Our client in the manufacturing industry based in Perseverance in Port Elizabeth, is currently looking to employ an experienced Financial Accountant. This person will report into the Finance Manager

Requirements

• Possess an accounting qualification, preferably a CA
• They must have at least 10 years financial accounting experience
• We require a self-motivated individual who can work with a minimum of supervision
• Must be computer literate with strong excel and word skills
• A knowledge of Pastel will be an advantage
• Must prioritise their work and meet deadlines
• Must be hard working and able to work under pressure
• Accuracy is extremely important
• Must take full responsibility for the accounting full function
• Be able to work in a team
• Should be calm under pressure
• Be willing to take on all tasks assigned to them
• Have strong communication Skills
• Preference will be given to Equity candidates

• • Prepare Management Accounts
  • Compile and submit monthly Vat Returns
  • Enter and submit monthly EMP201 Returns
  • Control Daily Cashflow
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Register
  • Do Forex Revaluation
  • Prepare Departmental Costs
  • Attend Monthly Stock Count and compile valuations
  • Attend to Production Incentive Claims
  • Prepare Account Reconciliations
  • Prepare Standard and Other Journals
  • Prepare Provisional Tax with Auditors
  • Compile Year End Financial Accounts
  • Oversea Annual Audit
  • Authorise Payments
  • Supervises Cashbook and Creditors Clerks
  • Check Local Invoices
  • Check Export Invoices are properly processed
  • Ensure Month End Close is completed properly
  • Attend to any other related
