The Financial Accountant will support the Finance department across a range of financial and reporting responsibilities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial processes.
Duties:
- Preparing and reviewing Annual Financial Statements and stakeholder reports.
- Managing and overseeing the Treasury function.
- Administering Fixed Assets and Work-in-Progress processes.
- Providing support during Internal and Statutory audits.
- Preparing and reconciling financial accounts.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close activities.
- Aiding in the interpretation and application of accounting standards.
Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: - Grade 12 (Matric)
- BCom Accounting
- BCom Honours / CTA
- CA(SA)
Experience: - CA(SA) qualification.
- 0 - 3 years post-articles experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and company taxation.
Skills & Competencies: - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and business process optimisation skills.
- Strong communication abilities, including confidence in delivering presentations.
- High accuracy, exceptional attention to detail, and solid analytical capability.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with JDE is advantageous.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform under pressure.
- Valid unendorsed driver’s license and own vehicle.
