Financial Accountant (Harare, Zimbabwe)

Successful incumbent will reside in Harare, Zimbabwe and will have a completed ACCA or be a CA, coupled with a minimum of 2 years Accounting experience within a Manufacturing company. SAP experience or knowledge highly advantageous. Successful incumbent will be required to reside in South Africa (JHB) for 3 months of extensive training.
Be responsible for: basic accounting processes, controls and documentation; working with the Gauteng office to prepare the month-end accounts up to management accounts; investigating unexpected variances in the P&L account; overall reconciliation of the accounts to ensure that all costs and revenues have been accounted for; prepare monthly reconciliations for B/S accounts; maintain the company's fixed asset register; responsibility for stock month-end procedures; manage relevant areas of the annual budget and wider participation in the general process; prepare lead schedules at financial year-end; maintain effective financial controls and reporting structures; journalising items such as finance charges, expense claims and salary accruals; VAT control; reconciling debtors accounts; reconciling all statements of creditors monthly; arranging and managing local audit, liaise directly with Group Finance Executive; calculate and pay all local taxes; managing working capital and cashflow. Solid Excel skills essential.
