JOB SUMMARY:
A well-known International Capital Process Equipment Company requires the above to provide a comprehensive financial and accounting service to the Company by controlling the financial administration, in order that cash flows and finance related costs are optimised to ensure the maximum return on funds within the Company policy and acceptable risk profiles.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

A BComm or BCompt or related financial qualification is essential for this role.
Previous experience having worked in either a Financial Accountant or Financial Manager or related role within the manufacturing and or distribution or related industry is essential.
The successful candidate must have good management ability and must have attention to detail.
Previous experience having worked on Sage Pastel Partner or a related ERP system is preferred but not essential.
Must be computer literate with basic Excel skills.
Previous experience having dealt with contracts and trusts would be beneficial but is not essential for this role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing and driving the accounting function so that all transactions are recorded in the Company books and effected timeously.
Directing, monitoring and controlling an effective and timeous internal audit system which operates throughout the Organisation to ensure that all procedures are adhered to and that all income is received correctly and timeously.
Developing an adequate computerised accounting system to meet the needs of the Company and through timeous management report generation improve the quality and effectiveness of the management of the Company.
Developing and, after approval, implementing financial policies which optimise the use of financial resources in the Company while maintaining required service levels in order to maximise the return on funds employed.
Authorising and controlling all expenditure including all capex expenditure.
Managing the treasury function and maintaining the Company’s banking relationships to place or access the funds.
Preparing the financial reports and all ongoing financial reports as required by Management.
Preparing the Company’s financial plan, and annual budgets, reporting monthly to the Board.
Preparing a weekly cash flow report in accordance with the relevant transactions.
Managing and controlling the payroll function ensuring that all salaries are paid promptly and efficiently.
Checking returns for all benefits and authorising payment.
Managing and controlling all aspects regarding the Company insurance together with the projects insurance.
Keeping track of the costing and budgets of the projects.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
