An all rounded; listed on JSE concern is looking for a well-rounded, analytical and well-spoken Financial Accountant with a B.Com degree or CA(SA) with 3 Ã¢â¬â 4 yearsÃ¢â¬â¢ experience as a Financial Accountant.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a leading risk insurance company, who’s focus is on providing unique solutions for their clients. My client is actively involved in developing some of the world’s largest reinsurers, and would like an out of the box thinker to join their dynamic team.

As Financial Accountant you will be responsible for:

Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
Forecast costs and revenues
Manage tax payments
Organize internal audits
Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)
Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
Analyze financial trends
Perform month-end and year-end close processes

Job Experience and Skills Required:

CA(SA) or B.Com
IFRS 17 would be advantageous
Insurance industry experience
