Financial Accounts & Debtors Manager

Your strong Financial Accounts and Debtors Management skills are urgently required by this market leading ISP in Rosebank!
This role reports to the Financial Manager. The function is heavily weighted towards the debtors function. You will need to have proven experience handling a large debtors book with a high Book value. (40k accounts with a value of R35million+)
You will be responsible for liaising with clients, collecting debts from company debtors, processing daily debit order payment runs, weekly refunds, processing invoices, maintaining the sales ledger as well as assisting with all general accounting and month end functions.

Responsibilities
Managing and collecting debts from company debtors.
Negotiating payment plans and settlements and ensuring that these are adhered to
Dealing with client escalations
Managing the weekly refunds
Reviewing customer credit requests and applying credits where necessary
Responding timeously to client inquiries
Processing of invoices and credit notes
Processing of daily debit order runs and payments received
Payment allocations of misdirected deposits
Ensuring customer statements are sent timeously to customers.
Managing the sales ledger.
Managing month end functions
Liaising with customers and the sales team.
Ability to deal with problematic clients.
Initiate legal action against debtors who evade or refuse repayment according to the terms and conditions.
Manage bad and doubtful debts schedules
Manage a team of six debt collector agents

Requirements
* BCom Financial degree
* 5 – 10 Years’ experience in debtors’ function at supervisory/ management level
* Good understanding of general accounting processes (Creditors/Costing/Stock/Variances/month end procedures)
* Proven experience handling a large debtors book with a high Book value. (40k accounts with a value of R35million+)
* Stable track record with excellent references
* Fluent in English and Afrikaans
