Financial Analyst

Ready to join a global player servicing large multinational clientele in the finance space? An exciting position is available for a dynamic Financial Analyst to join their Cape Town team.

POSITION INFO:

As Financial Analyst, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection, analysis and summarizing of Financial Data, discussing these with International clients''. The successful individual will be working with sensitive data, as well as preparing clients to enter the mergers & acquisitions market.

This is a client-facing role, the ideal individual must be comfortable in their ability to convey bad news and deals with clients’ unique sensitivities while keeping each client moving through the company sales process at a steady pace.

Responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance of client relationships by communicating effectively.
• Gathering of comprehensive information about a client''s business through multiple sources to ensure a thorough and accurate analysis.
• Preparation, monitoring and review of financial information of active clients.
• Analysis and interpretation of client''s financial situation, including historical, current and expected future performance.
• Producing a 3-year forecast of financial business plans when required.
• Preparation of a brief summary and financial analysis for inclusion in company marketing documents, such as Information Memorandum, Teaser Letter, and Opportunities Listing documents, amongst others as well as updating periodically.
• Assist the Lead Generation team in preparing valuation matrices for prospective clients.
• Work with the Director to produce advanced synergy business plans as required.
• Help and support the financial due diligence exercise where required.
• Assist in populating the Virtual Data Rooms as required.
• Ensure the CRM system is up to date with information about each client.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Any other request that is reasonable and lawful in nature.

Further knowledge and application of the below:

• Proficiency in financial modelling, financial analysis, and Excel
• Commercial understanding and awareness of business and operations
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Prioritization and organization skills

Qualifications:

• BCom Degree - Accounting (with a focus on Financial Accounting, Taxation, Cost and Management Accounting and Auditing)
• Certifications in Financial Modelling
• Honours Degree will be advantageous
• B Degree in Management Accounting will be advantageous
•  2 to 3 Years Auditing Articles Experience
• Practical Experience as a Financial Analyst within the SME space
