Our client, a leading logistics provider in the agricultural sector, is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their team and support the Financial Manager in ensuring accurate financial processes and effective controls.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment while developing your skills in finance and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and capture all bank accounts daily, including foreign accounts.

• Reconcile intercompany loans monthly.

• Provide administrative support to the Financial Manager, including opening new bank accounts and filing.

• Manage forex accounts (FECs and USD CFC accounts) and ensure all documents are recorded.

• Serve as the second authorising person on EFT payments.

• Assist with annual financial audit preparations.

• Provide ad hoc reporting as requested by the Financial Manager.

• Assist with monthly Nedbank downloads and invoice offers, with the potential to serve as a fully functional backup for the Senior Debtors Controller.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years’ relevant finance experience.

• B Degree in Accounting/Finance or a 3-year Finance Diploma.

• Experience in a transport/logistics environment advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.

• Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.

• Strong planning, organising, and problem-solving abilities.

• Commitment to continuous learning and development.
