Our client, a leading logistics provider in the agricultural sector, is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their team and support the Financial Manager in ensuring accurate financial processes and effective controls.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment while developing your skills in finance and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and capture all bank accounts daily, including foreign accounts.
Reconcile intercompany loans monthly.
Provide administrative support to the Financial Manager, including opening new bank accounts and filing.
Manage forex accounts (FECs and USD CFC accounts) and ensure all documents are recorded.
Serve as the second authorising person on EFT payments.
Assist with annual financial audit preparations.
Provide ad hoc reporting as requested by the Financial Manager.
Assist with monthly Nedbank downloads and invoice offers, with the potential to serve as a fully functional backup for the Senior Debtors Controller.

Requirements:

2–3 years’ relevant finance experience.
B Degree in Accounting/Finance or a 3-year Finance Diploma.
Experience in a transport/logistics environment advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
Strong planning, organising, and problem-solving abilities.
Commitment to continuous learning and development.
Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
