POSITION INFO:

My client is seeking a Financial Controller who will be responsible for ensuring sound financial governance, reporting accuracy and commercial insight that drives client success. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' post-articles commercial experience in a financial management or controller role.

Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day financial operations for 3 distinct outsourced client projects
Prepare and review monthly management accounts, forecasts, and cash flow reports
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure audit readiness
Develop, implement, and monitor financial controls and reporting processes
Assist with strategic financial planning and business analysis for each project
Support tax compliance, VAT, and regulatory submissions
Serve as the key finance liaison for clients, building trusted advisory relationships
Prepare audit files and supporting documentation for external audit purposes
Communicate with key stakeholders including auditors, clients, and regulatory bodies
Ensure compliance with all applicable financial laws, regulations, and reporting standards

Requirements:

BCom Degree (Accounting, Management Accounting, or Finance)
Completed Articles (CIMA, SAIPA, or SAICA)
Minimum of 2 years' post-articles commercial experience in a financial management or controller role
Fluent in Afrikaans and English (spoken and written)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and cloud-based accounting platforms (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks)
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management
Client-centric mindset with a solutions-driven approach
