A well-established technology-driven organisation is looking for a Financial Controller to take full ownership of the finance function and act as a trusted right-hand to leadership. This is not a “jump ship every year” environment — tenure, loyalty, and long-term contribution genuinely matter here. You’ll be responsible for keeping the financial engine running smoothly while strengthening controls, reporting, and decision support across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the full finance function from trial balance through to management and statutory reporting
Prepare monthly management accounts with clear commentary and analysis
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
Ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and audit readiness
Review balance sheet reconciliations and maintain reporting integrity
Support leadership with accurate financial insight and commercial decision-making

Job Experience and Skills Required

BCom degree with completed SAICA/SAIPA articles
Minimum of 3 years post-article experience in a Financial Controller or senior accounting role
Strong technical accounting and reporting capability
Proven stability and tenure in previous roles
Solid Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
Detail-driven, reliable, and comfortable taking full ownership of finance
