Position: Financial Controller – Award Winning Game Reserve with multiple lodges

Location: Eastern Cape (Live-in Position)
Hospitality Hire is recruiting on behalf of an award-winning luxury game reserve in the Eastern Cape for an experienced Financial Controller.
This is a rare opportunity for an accomplished hospitality finance professional currently working within a corporate or branded hotel environment who is looking to transition into the luxury lodge industry. POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric) - Valid South African ID (Essential) - Unfortunately, work permits cannot be considered for this position - Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field - Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Hotel Accountant within a corporate or branded hotel environment (Essential) - Experience within a 4 or 5-star hotel operation - Strong understanding of hotel financial controls, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting - Excellent knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel - Experience with hotel financial management systems advantageous - Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills - High level of integrity, attention to detail and confidentiality - Willingness to relocate and live on the reserve Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the lodge - Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and balance sheet reconciliations - Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting - Monitor internal financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements - Oversee stock controls, purchasing controls and cost management across departments - Assist department heads with financial planning and expenditure management - Manage payroll support, supplier reconciliations and creditor functions where required - Ensure statutory compliance, tax submissions and financial deadlines are met - Support the General Manager with financial analysis and strategic decision-making - Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting standards What We're Looking For We're looking for a commercially minded hospitality finance professional who is ready to take the next step in their career by moving from a corporate hotel environment into the luxury safari lodge industry.
