Financial Controller

SUMMARY:
Our client based in East London, is a subsidiary of a listed Industrial Group. They boast an engaged workforce, having achieved confirmed successes in supply to the Automotive Industry.

They require an experienced Financial Controller to join their Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will maintain and update the General Ledger in order to provide timeous and accurate Financial Accounting information for input into the management reporting process.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Matric
• National Diploma or BCom in Financial Accounting or related qualification
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role

Key Performance Areas include:

• Assist with input into the Financial Strategy
• Provide general financial analysis and support to management and operational areas
• Maintain and update financial management systems
• Ensure compliance with internal controls
• Prepare Operational budgets and Forecasts
• Prepare Financial Reports, produce Flash results, investigate and action financial variances
• General Ledger updates, compile balance sheet account reconciliations, prepare and post journal entries
• Prepare and plan Audits and year-end processes, liaise with auditors and follow up on audit actions
• Manage cash flow and working capital
• Forex forecasts and foreign creditor account management
• CAPEX spending monitoring and reporting
• Manage stock holdings in conjunction with Logistics department
• Prepare and submit insurance declarations, file claims and losses
• Review and authorize Creditors payments
• Fixed Assets Register updates and management
• Prepare and review all statutory returns
• Manage credit risk, insure Debtor’s book
• Continuous improvement initiatives
• Analyse and interpret financial reports and statistics, prepare financial reports and returns for internal and external use
