SUMMARY:
This long-standing Durban manufacturing concern currently seeks a Financial Controller for their 3 month contract, to compile and provide accurate and timeous financial information to the Factory Manager in order to make informed business decisions.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

B.Com or National Diploma in Financial Accounting.
Min 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

Key Performance Areas:

Provide financial analysis and support to management and all operational areas of the business.
Monitor and support debtors and creditors.
Review weekly payroll.
Review and action financial variances (budget/forecast).
Review and action balance sheet account variances.
Ensure compliance with IFRS.
Prepare and maintain a Capex and tooling register tracking actual spend against approved spend, planning future profitability and cashflow of the projects.
Prepare Capex requisition with all relevant information regarding the Capex project.
Internal control - comply with internal controls and maintain & review risk register.
Participate in and prepare the budgets and forecasts.
Prepare plant profit & loss and balance sheet forecasts.
Prepare various financial reports and returns (monthly BU/financial packs).
Compile and prepare general ledger journals and recons.
Prepare provision and accruals.
Compile Royalties schedule for month end processing.
Prepare and plan year-end statutory audit (external & internal).
Prepare and arrange royalty audits.
Calculate landed cost on all import shipments.
Cash management.
Debtors management.
Review Forex forecasts and FEC contracts based on AP requirements.
