JOB SUMMARY:
A software company situated in the City Bowl area is seeking a Financial Controller to join their small finance team. You will work closely with the Head of Finance and have the exciting challenge of overseeing the financials for more than one entity. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the company and its subsidiaries

Manage billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed asset control, and revenue recognition

Management of all admin duties including office admin

Manage and mentor junior personnel in the accounting department with key objectives to be achieved

Maintain a system of control over all daily transactions

Preparing the management reports

Ensuring excellent finance reporting quality for all group companies

Preparing all monthly GP reconciliations and questioning any discrepancies

Preparing all monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Preparing mid-month projections to be presented to management monthly

Analyse and control revenue imports and questioning all variances, while ensuring prompt collection of accounts receivable

Analyse and control expenses ensuring expenses align to budgets

Ensuring that daily processing is kept up to date to ensure that weekly recons are communicated in a timeous manner

Drive usage of our internal ERP system, assisting with internal processes to ensure a smooth handover of items between different departments

Qualification:

BCom Degree

SAIPA or SAICA Articles
