SUMMARY:
A multinational freight conglomerate seeks to employ a Financial Controller to join their South African team based in Johannesburg East. If you have a passion for imports and exports and understand the disbursement processes around it, then we are looking for you!

POSITION INFO:
You will be responsible for maintaining standards of internal control in the disbursements management process.

Other duties include, but are not limited to:

Ensure the completeness of accounting postings, payments and the integrity of group disbursement data
Monitor all disbursement activities
Track and monitor implementation of disbursement function related audit recommendations
Lead and coordinate the training of disbursement personnel
Ensure smooth running of disbursement practices regionally
Ensure quality and consistency of disbursement reports
Provide analytical and data management support for group disbursement
Prepare and monitor monthly KPIs
Cluster review provisions
Set up internal control systems and policies for financial reporting
Month-end reporting

Education:

BCom degree in Accounting or Finance

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
3 to 4 years' experience within a controlling finance role
Experience in disbursement audit required
Strong accounting and computer literacy
Strong Advanced Excel skills
Attention to detail
Effective communication skills
Organizational skills
Team player
Deadline driven
Effectively works under pressure
