Financial Manager

POSITION INFO:

Our client in the fruit industry is currently looking for a Financial Manager to join their team. Their office are based on a farm (between Malmesbury and Wellington). 

This position is hybrid- remote work while reporting to the farm once to twice a week. Ideal candidate will be based in the Cape Wineland region. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the financial planning and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to optimize business performance.
• Develop comprehensive financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
• Analyze variances between actual and budgeted performance, identifying key drivers and proposing corrective actions as necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
• Partner with department heads to develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with strategic objectives.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to address business challenges and capitalize on opportunities for growth.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements, adhering to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
• Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors to facilitate smooth and timely audits.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes and controls to mitigate risks and improve efficiency.
• Proactively identify areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement, driving initiatives to maximize profitability.
• Champion a culture of innovation and constructive challenge, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement within the finance function.

Requirements:

• CIMA or CA qualification.
• Experience in Dynamics NAV/Business Central 
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
• Sound knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and accounting principles.

This position is hybrid, remote and based on the farm between Wellington and Malmesbury, and is full time, Monday-Friday.

Starting date: As soon as possible.

Location: Farm located between Malmesbury and Wellington, and remote work.

Salary: R70 000 - R80 000 CTC a month (depending on experience).
