Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
A leading steel manufacturer is looking for a dedicated and skilled Financial Manager to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring compliance, and managing financial health to meet both short- and long-term goals. You will also be responsible for managing the financial department, contribute to key financial decisions, and support the organisation’s continued growth.

Duties:

• Oversee and manage the entire financial department.
• Produce financial reports, ensure compliance, and manage cash flow for long-term financial goals.
• Supervise month-end processes, including trial balance finalization and uploading data to Hyperion.
• Manage weekly and bi-weekly cash flow forecasts, collaborating with senior executives on liquidity issues.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to policies.
• Handle VAT and income tax compliance, including overseeing VAT calculations and submissions.
• Manage banking relationships, approve vendor details, and oversee forex processes.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and training to the finance team, overseeing budgeting, working capital, and external audits.

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Finance
• BCom Honours
• CA(SA)

• Completed SAICA articles
• At least 5 years of managerial experience
• Minimum of 8 years of overall experience in financial management
• Must have experience within the manufacturing industry
• Must have experience with IFRS, SAP, and Hyperion
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
