Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Manager to oversee and elevate financial systems, reporting, and compliance.

POSITION INFO:
As a Financial Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

• Oversee all financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and monthly reporting
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and detailed cash flow plans
• Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts and annual financial statements
• Conduct in-depth variance analysis and provide strategic insights to senior leadership
• Ensure compliance with SARS (VAT, PAYE, and income tax) and the Companies Act
• Support external audits, funding rounds, and investor reporting requirements
• Implement and improve financial controls
• Mentor and supervise junior finance team members, fostering their growth and development
• Collaborate closely with the CFO on capital planning, fundraising, and financial strategy

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CA(SA) or CMA advantageous)
• 3–5 years’ experience in a financial management role
• High proficiency in Xero, Excel, and Google Sheets
• Demonstrated expertise in preparing and interpreting financial reports
• Solid understanding of South African tax regulations and the Companies Act
• Familiarity with IFRS and IFRS for SMEs
