POSITION INFO:
An established manufacturing and logistics powerhouse is seeking a Finance Manager / Financial Controller to join their team. This role is designed for a strategic, technically strong professional with a passion for driving performance and compliance in a complex operational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the budget and forecasting process: Annual budgets, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and corrective action.
• Develop and manage a team of Accountants and Finance Clerks.
• Prepare, review, and present financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual) in compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage tax compliance (income tax, VAT, customs duties, and import/export regulations).
• Oversee customs & trade compliance, including duties, tariff classification, and documentation.
• Provide financial oversight for major projects: Costings, ROI analysis, budget monitoring, and risk management.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and financial controls.
• Manage external and internal audits, ensuring the timely resolution of findings.
• Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a Finance-related field.
• Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a Financial Controller or Finance Manager role.
• Proven experience in manufacturing or logistics, with exposure to cost accounting, inventory control, production variances, and supply chain finance.
• Strong command of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Knowledge of tax compliance (VAT, income tax, and customs/trade regulations).
• Skilled in preparing financial statements under the applicable accounting standards.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical mindset, detail orientation, and ability to thrive under pressure.
