SUMMARY:
Lead the finance function from Graaff Reinet.
POSITION INFO:
Join a well-established and growing business known for its operational excellence and focus on quality. This is a role for a hands-on leader who wants to take ownership of the finance function, make an immediate impact, and work in a dynamic, high-responsibility environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fixed Assets Management – Maintain the full fixed asset register, and ensure proper capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable Function – Oversee the AP function, ensure that supplier payments are processed accurately and on time, and enforce proper controls.
- Cashbook & Banking – Manage cashbook reconciliations, monitor the daily cash flow, and ensure accurate banking records.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis – Prepare management accounts, budgets, and ad hoc reports for decision-making.
- Team Leadership & Compliance – Lead and mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Job Experience and Skills Required:- Education:
- BCom Accounting / Finance
- Experience:
- 3–5 years in accounting / financial roles
- Minimum 3 years management experience
- Exposure to retail or multi-site operations advantageous
- Skills / Technical Competencies:
- Lead the finance function in a growing, reputable business
- Hands-on role with real operational impact
