Financial Manager

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Financial Management & Reporting:
  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and monthly management reports
  • Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management
  • Manage cost control initiatives and identify areas for efficiency improvements
• Accounting & Compliance:
  • Supervise the accounting team and ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, audits, and statutory requirements
  • Maintain strong internal controls and implement financial policies and procedures
• Strategic & Operational Support:
  • Work closely with operations, sales, and procurement to support financial decision-making
  • Provide financial input for pricing strategies, stock management, margin analysis, and supplier negotiations
  • Support business expansion, financial planning, and risk management
  • Lead financial planning for new projects, investments, and capital expenditure
• Leadership & Team Management:
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team
  • Oversee staff performance, training, and development
  • Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (SAIPA/SAICA/ACCA preferred)
• Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in financial management
• Experience in the automotive, wholesale, or manufacturing sector is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax legislation, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across department
