SUMMARY:
Based in Pretoria East, the role covers management accounts, reporting, cash flow, budgeting, controls, tax and day-to-day financial management. You’ll also gain exposure to different parts of the operation and occasionally travel to other sites, giving you a much broader view of the business than a traditional office-based finance role.

POSITION INFO:

Duties \/ Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs. Analyse monthly financial performance and provide useful insights. Manage and monitor daily and weekly cash flow. Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, loan schedules and fixed asset registers. Process and review journals, accruals, provisions and stock adjustments. Assist with annual budgets and monthly actual-versus-budget reporting. Oversee supplier payments and key financial controls. Prepare VAT reconciliations and submissions. Assist with annual financial statements, audits and tax calculations. Improve finance and administration processes and controls. Support and guide finance and administrative staff. Travel occasionally to other operations, including Johannesburg and Polokwane. Requirements Approximately 1-3 years' experience after articles . Strong accounting and financial reporting fundamentals. Exposure to management accounts, cash flow, budgeting and reconciliations. Comfortable working in a hands-on finance environment. Experience in manufacturing, food, distribution or a stock-based business would be advantageous. Based in or able to work full-time in Pretoria . Willing to travel occasionally to other operational sites. Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans Education Relevant accounting or finance qualification. Completed SAIPA articles. Soft Skills Hungry, Humble and Smart. Keen to learn and take on more responsibility. Good judgement and strong attention to detail. Practical, organised and reliable. Comfortable working with different personalities and departments. Proactive and willing to ask questions rather than simply process numbers. The offer will be market related based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
