Financial Manager 2-Month Contract

Accountabilities:

Financial Process Management

Manage the day-to-day finance operations and team

Oversees complete and accurate financial reporting for all entities within the business

Manages and ensures efficient month-end processes are followed and completed

Oversee preparation of monthly management accounts and exco reporting packs to support executive decision making

Assist in the preparation of forecasts and budgets

Co-ordinate annual audits and prepares all supporting information for the annual audit and will be the main point of call for the external auditors.

Assist in compiling the Annual Financial statements by complying with IFRS and relevant regulatory frameworks.

Evaluate financial reporting systems and accounting procedures, and makes recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets and other financial control functions

Oversee the continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes in order to achieve best practices and optimal output

Oversee the establishment of effective financial reporting systems, and internal control procedures that are in line with statutory financial reporting standards (IFRS) and internal operating requirements

Enforce control systems to monitor and ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures

Provide operational support related to finance activities and initiatives to contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the company.

Compliance Management

Develops, implements, and ensures compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.

Ensuring the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues

People Management

Manages and motivates their direct team (8 people) to deliver the highest standard of departmental, cross departmental and cross company teamwork

Manages the performance and potential of their direct team (recognises individual differences in terms of career objectives, expertise, culture, interests, and other factors to facilitate working relationships)

Provides coaching, direction and mentorship to team members in order to support problem solving, assess productivity and recommend changes where required

Prepares and participates in recruitment, talent management and succession planning activities to support team and company growth

Candidate Requirements:

· Qualification and Experience:

- CA(SA)

- 3 to 5 years previous experience in a Financial Manager role

- Professional and confident communicator capable of dealing with staff at all levels.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills

- Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills

- Fluent verbal and written English communication skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skills?

- Good problem-solving skills?
