JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a consulting firm is urgently recruiting for a Financial Manager to join their Johannesburg team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:

3-5 Years’ experience in a similar role.
BCom Honours in Financial Accounting.
Pastel Partner experience.
Microsoft Excel experience.

Main responsibilities:

Invoicing clients.
Debtors’ management and collecting.
Preparation of month end journals.
Responsible for preparation of general ledger items, reconciliation, and reporting.
Processing, completing, and submitting VAT every period.
Performing tax calculations for company.
Review junior team members work and coach junior team members.
Reconciled VAT and EMP returns, prepared reconciliations, and submitted VAT 201 and EMP 201 on SARS E-filing and statutory work.
Manage a team of 3 members and coaching junior team members.
Ensuring the accuracy of financial documents, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Leading the Audit and liaising with the Auditors.
Preparation of the Annual Financial Statements of all applicable entities on Caseware.
Knowledge and understanding of IFRS.
Reconciling all balance sheet accounts to third party documentation.
Preparation of monthly management reports.
Provide commentary on variances in the Income Statement and Balance Sheets of all entities.
Monitoring and explaining variances of income and expenses to project budget and by entity
Providing input into tax and statutory reporting.
Manage fixed asset register.
Review creditors reconciliation.
