SUMMARY:
Excellent opportunity for a Financial Manager to join the Management team of a large retailer, who will be reporting directly to the Financial Director and responsible for the full financial function of the company. The candidate must be a CA(SA) with previous experience in both accounting and people management.

POSITION INFO:

Co-ordination of the annual statutory audit.

Preparation of the Annual Financial Statements in compliance with IFRS.

Preparation and review of the Monthly consolidated Financial reports.

Issue of the Financial results to the Board of Directors.

Preparation of monthly forecasts to the Board of Directors.

Analyse and report on balance sheet recons and cost variances in the income statement.

Analyse and allocate Discounts earned monthly.

Produce supplier spend reports for BBBEE reporting.

Submission of the annual Income tax returns and resolve Tax queries.

Preparation and submission of VAT returns and resolve VAT queries.

Oversee the Accounts Payable department.

Signing of monthly Accounts payable recons.

Identify system inefficiencies and propose solutions.

Implement new business processes where required.

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role

Excellent people management skills

Ability to work and communicate with Executive management.

Technical experience with IFRS and IFRS for SME’s

Qualification:

CA(SA)
