Growing concern is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to head up the finance department and to start as soon as possible in their East Rand branch

POSITION INFO:

Duties & Responsibilities

Planning

Define financial requirements against mandated goals and objectives and translate these into specific financial commitments.
Provide a roadmap to support the budgeting process.

Budgeting

Forecasting
Allocate funds to specific accounts
Monitor the actual use of financial resources against the approved budget and identify variances.
Adjust the approved budget under directives from management and/or in response to variances between planned and actual expenditures.
Report findings and action taken to the appropriate authorities.

Management & Control

Comply with the legal and statutory framework of policies, business processes, procedures and standards pertaining to recording, classifying, monitoring, and reporting on use and disposition of financial resources.

Performance Measurement

Produce financial reporting.
Create management reports on a regular basis.
Evaluating and analyzing findings

Financials

Management of debtors and creditors
Reconcile monthly inventory
Complete and submit VAT to South African Revenue Services (SARS)
Manage cashflow,
Prepare financial statements for year-end audit

HR

Human Resources Payroll: wages and salaries SARS submissions, including UIF, PAYE, SDL

BCom degree
Pastel
At least four years’ experience in small to medium enterprise as Financial Manager
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Fluent in English and Afrikaans due to client base
Analytical
People management skills
