SUMMARY:
A leading JSE-listed Packaging Manufacturing company requires the above to be responsible for the full accounting, reporting and management function, reporting into the Commercial Manager.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Tertiary Finance qualification i.e., BComm degree or related is essential.
Must have completed articles.
Must have worked within a company that had an annual turnover of a R100 Million minimum.
Must have post articles experience within the manufacturing industry.
Previous experience having worked as a Financial Manager is essential.
Previous management experience managing a team of people is essential.
An understanding of cost accounting within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Previous experience having worked on JD Edwards ERP system or related is preferred but not essential.
Must be computer literate with intermediate excel experience is essential. The successful candidate must have a solid understanding of Pivot Tables, V-Lookups and Dashboards.
Must be energetic with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have excellent attention to detail.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Oversee the financial functions and internal controls for debtors, creditors, payroll, cash and bank, taxation, cash flow, the net working capital and related reports.
Manage and oversee supply chain functions, which include procurement, warehousing, distributing fleet and planning.
Manage risk and interact with insurers.
Coordinate and control the financial planning for the company, which includes integrating financial plans with short-term action plans, annual plans and medium to long term financial forecasts.
Ensure that appropriate authorities and controls exist within the company.
Promote awareness of costs, productivity and capital employed.
Facilitate and coordinate the timeous, relevant and integrated management reporting process.
Analyse business results, risks, and trends to enable senior management to make effective business decisions.
Generate monthly cash flow reports and budgets every quarter.
Prepare the vat 201, report on daily, weekly, and monthly cost variances.
Oversee and manage all cash flow and statements managing efficiencies, cost accounting, vat / EMP’s 201 and all finances and annual audits for the company.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
