SUMMARY:
Our client in the Financial services sector seek a dynamic individual who is focused and driven, motivated and inspired, to join their team in the capacity of Finance Manager

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

  • CA(SA)
  • Bachelors

 

Responsibilities

 

Reporting & Auditing:

 

  • Prepare and analyze accurate monthly/annual financial and management reports, including income statement, balance sheet, budget and variance, projections and forecast, and cash flow.
  • Compile Company’s financial projections from information received from all unit managers
  • Prepare monthly/annual reports, and materials for analysis and presentations
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and respond to queries, observations and recommendations; and
  • Preparation of consolidated financial statements using caseware

 

Accounting and cash flow management:

 

  • Ensure that all monthly transactions are accurate and timely captured on financial/accounting systems
  • Ensure proper books of account are maintained and kept up to date
  • Monitor institution and other debtors’ accounts regularly to ensure timely recovery
  • Comply with all statutory requirements and deadlines as they impact on the Finance function

 

Budgeting:

 

  • Prepare and review detailed budgets for approval by EXCO
  • Manage and oversee the budgeting process including effective planning, guidelines and assumptions.
  • Make regular reports to the EXCO on income, expenditure and any variations from budgets.

 

Risk Management:

 

  • Review and develop effective and robust financial policies and control procedures.
  • Develop risk management strategies and processes.
  • Ensure internal controls and systems are effective and
  • efficient.
  • Maintain control of the following areas: trade creditors, institution creditors, debtors, finance Educational Business Solutions, accounting and payroll

 

Relationship Management:

 

  • Develop and maintain effective communication and positive working relationships with the internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction ratings at or above department objective.

 

People Management:

 

  • Live the company values and leadership standard
  • Work in collaboration with the HC Business Partner to:
  • -Capacitate the team (recruitment and training)
  • -On-board new employees

-Manage performance, ensure all employees have a development plan

-Recognise and reward high performance

-Leave management
