SUMMARY:
Multi-national Animal Nutrition processing company, has an opening for a Financial Manager to join their team. Provide the local and regional leadership team with high quality general accounting and close, performance management reporting and internal control services. Work within a strong cross-functional team environment and support colleagues in the commercial operations and support areas.

POSITION INFO:

Successful incumbent will have a B.Com (Hons) / CA(SA) or CIMA qualification, coupled with 7+ years Accounting experience within large multi-nationals, public accounting experience is a plus. Good business acumen and strong analytical ability to generate BI with the ability to work on cross-functional teams in an effective manner. CPA highly advantageous. Responsibilities include :

Month-end close process: drive the monthly financial closing process for the perimeter. Ensure accurate and timely financial statements submission. Responsible for accounting entries, accuracy and reconciliations. Review and explain financial results to local management and BU finance management. Internal control: monitor effective operation of a strong internal control environment and spread best practices among local teams. Ensure the companies procedures and policies are implemented and applied at all time within the perimeter. Follow-up action plan on Internal Audit recommendations. FP&A: manage the planning process (monthly forecast and annual plan) for the perimeter in strong collaboration with local business management and controlling teams. Business support: support business by providing accurate and timely figures and high value-added analysis, follow-up of budget and actuals. Support the business in understanding and applying the company''s standard procedures and processes. Business transformation: support local and BU leadership management in strategic development projects, play a key role in following and driving Readiness initiatives for the perimeter and support the advancement of the company’s business transformation. Ensure strong and open communication lines with both Finance and Business workstreams. Collaborate effectively with other BU Controllers and Finance Leaders, commercial and operations colleagues from other BUs, regions and functions to drive enterprise success.
