Financial Manager

Location - Stillbaai Our leading client in the FMCG Industry is looking to hire an experienced Financial Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the general accounting function and leading the Finance department for the company, manage the flow of accurate and timeous financial data of the company stakeholders. POSITION INFO:

The Ideal Candidate

• Must have a minimum of +- 6 years’ experience in a Financial Manager position.
• Must have Group Reporting and Forecasting experience.
• Must be computer literate (JD Edwards experience advantageous)
• Must come from the FMCG space.

Duties include:

• Work with business stakeholders to prepare annual udgets including profit and loss and balance sheet, providing clear analysis on drivers of change vs previous years.
• Prepare quarterly forecasts profit and loss balance sheet and incorporate latest business context and input from business stakeholders.
• Provide financial input into presentations for internal stakeholders including to senior management.
• Ensure that all group budget and estimate deadlines and expectations are clearly communicated to the business and adhered to.
• Oversee the AP and AR functions.
• Ensure that the purchase to pay process is adhered to and all payments have followed the approved company policy and delegation of authority.
• Ensure that the sale to cash process is adhered to and that all AR processes have followed the approved company policy.
• Balance sheet accounts are prepared, reconciled and reviewed monthly.
• Journal entries reviewed and approved before posting to General Ledger.
• Monthly accruals are prepared and reviewed prior to posting in ERP.
• Incorrect journal entries are corrected in accordance with Chart of Accounts.
• Executive summary of provisions and accruals on balance sheet is prepared monthly.
• Variance analysis to be carried out on material items and potential remedies to be proposed to management.
• Manage Group Reporting deadlines, ensuring that these are met with accurate and timeous submission of information.
• Track the company''s financial status and performance to identify & recommend areas for potential improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification – BCom with Articles.
