Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
A progressive entity in the services and insurance sector is currently in the market for a qualified Chartered Accountant to take a role as a Financial Manager. The ideal candidates must have consolidations experience.

POSITION INFO:

A progressive entity in pharmaceutical industry is currently in the market for a qualified Chartered Accountant to take up a role as a Financial Controller. 

Requirements:

• CA(SA)
• 5-10 years’ experience
• Pharmaceutical industry experience (essential)
• Staff management experience
• Big Four articles (advantageous)

Responsibilities:

• Management accounting and reporting, adhere to local, regional and global reporting deadlines by ensuring accurate and timeous data submission, including but not limited to:
• Net sales finalisation
• P&L finalisation
• Month end reporting pack and presentation
• Capex management and reporting
• Debtors and inventory reporting
• Net working capital reporting
• Review of expense and profit split and reporting thereof
• Any and all other reporting requirements
• Managing audit and ensuring audit is completed on time and AFS signed as per deadline
• Ensure direct and indirect tax compliance
• Ensuring Provisional taxes are paid in time after approval
• Ensuring accounting policies are applied consistently with no deviations
• Ensuring of compliance to local company laws
• All other statutory compliances
• Monthly review of final TB, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all account balances
• Monthly balance sheet reviews
• Cash flow management, including adherence to global targets and payment adherence
• Business support, including but not limited to:
• Ensure business support providing across South Africa business and all departments, including support on:
• New product launches
• Business development deals
• Expense management across the business
• Net Working capital management including adherence to global targets
• Providing adhoc reports, analysis and insights
