SUMMARY:
A well-known automotive company is seeking a dynamic Financial Manager to join their diversified team. The Financial Manager will be reporting directly to the CFO and will be responsible for ensuring that any financial decisions made by the organization comply with business and tax regulations, and that the general operations are run as cost-effectively as possible.

Minimum Requirements:

CA(SA) – First Time Board Passes Only
Minimum 2 Years’ post article experience in a similar role
Strong leadership and inter-personal skills
Ability to learn and grow quickly in a high growth organization

Key Performance Areas (Responsibilities):

The Financial Managers’ duties shall include, but not be limited to:

Shareholder reporting
Faultless financial reporting
Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts
Maintenance of General Ledger
Monthly General Ledger account reconciliations
“A” signatory on EFT payments
Management of the treasury function including monthly reconciliations on all bank and
clearing accounts
Management of cashflows
Adhoc projects for CFO and GM: Finance
Budget vs Actual variance analysis and explanations
Support role for the annual budgeting process and updates thereto during the financial
year
Continuous improvement projects
IFRS and Taxation compliance
Efficiency analysis and cost reduction projects
Year end audit responsibility
B-BBEE compliance and quarterly reporting
Maintenance and update of a risk registers
Assistance with adhoc debtors and creditors queries
Corporate Governance and internal controls
Relationships with Evolve and software providers
Financial and commercial support to department heads and ExCo members
Monthly KPI reporting
Management of individual team members in the Finance department – (15 direct reports)
X2 CA(SA)’S, X2 Financial Accountants
