SUMMARY:

Financial Controller of the Group’s foreign operations, taking full responsibility for the financial and management accounting functions of all foreign operations.

POSITION INFO:
Position: Financial Manager
Location: Johannesburg East
Manufacturing comany based in the Boksburg area but exporting to several Europena, UAE and African companies.
The person we are looking for will take full responsibility for the financial management accounting functions of all foreign operations. The appointed person will assist the Group Accountant with overall accounting function of the group and standards according to legislation and company rules.
Will manage the financial function and monitorsubsidiary and general ledgers, including adjusting entries. Lastly the person must identify areas of improvement and develop and implement new systems.
Qualification:

B. Comm Hons + articles and registeresd at SAICA as a CA
10 years experience in Manufacturing / operatons

Responsibilities:

Financial Controller of the Group’s foreign operations
Monitor and review all processing to the subsidiary and general ledgers, including adjusting entries
Review of current accounting systems and procedures to identify areas of improvement. Where appropriate develop and implement new systems
Compile the monthly management accounts for all foreign companies including the Group’s foreign consolidation
Preparation and completion of statutory audited annual financial statements for all foreign domiciled companies in accordance with relevant legislation, including liaison with external auditors
Compile and submit all foreign income tax, vat, payroll and withholding taxes when due
Required to keep up to date with relevant legislation and requirements in different jurisdictions, including any required statutory registrations and compliance
Review and manage all foreign sales and service provider contracts where required
Review foreign payrolls across the group, including liaising with outsourced payroll firms
Perform all company secretarial duties for the foreign companies including banking, insurance, risk cover, work permit issues and immigration requirements
Review and approve payments for release in accordance with the risk policy
Resolve any other accounting or statutory requirement that may arise
Reporting and working closely with the Financial Director as well as Group CEO to ensure all issues are resolved and foreign entities are compliant
