FINANCIAL MANAGER

Introduction:

An exclusive and reputable game reserve located near Vaalwater (Limpopo) is seeking an analytical and dynamic Financial and Administration Manager with a minimum of 3-5 yearsâ€™ experience to become an integral part of their management team.

Background:

The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the financial and administration management of this 37,000 hectare, Big 5, Private Game Reserve.

The position offers exposure to the inner workings of a landowners association; including complex issues around incorporation of new properties, and debates and decision-making regarding member rights and regulations.

The incumbent will work closely with members of the Board which boast a wealth of knowledge from various senior positions in business and will also work closely with conservation experts to achieve effective management of the Reserve.

Welgevonden management works as cohesive and collaborative unit, therefore the candidate must be willing to engage and operate as a contributing member of an innovative team.

Requirements:

An appropriate Bachelorâ€™s degree in Accounting
Articles or a post-graduate qualification will be highly recommended
Minimum 3-5 yearsâ€™ management experience
Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
E-Filing experience
Strong management skills
Excellent reporting and communication skills

Good understanding of the following systems will be beneficial:

SAGE VIP (Payroll)
Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (Accounting)
Solver BI360 (Budgeting and Forecasting)

Responsibilities include:

Cash flow management
Full financial function
Budgeting and forecasting
Reporting
Payroll and HR
Preparation of monthly management reports and annual financial statements
Submission of VAT, income tax returns and other statutory returns
Implementation of financial systems and controls
General administration
Manage a team of 10
