Financial Manager

SUMMARY:

We are looking for young and enthusiastic Qualified Chartered Accountants to be part of our client’s finance team. The successful incumbent will be filling in the role of a Financial Manager. POSITION INFO:

Duties:

• Statutory Reporting;
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting pack for review by manager;
• Accurate and timeous month end reporting in accordance with group timelines and requirements;
• Assist with month end procedures in SAP;
• Perform monthly GL /or sub ledger reconciliations;
• Review and validate GL reconciliations;
• Accurate and approved journals processed timeously;
• Proactive identification of problem areas;
  Identify improvements and recommend changes required;
• Assist with month end procedures in SAP;
  Ensure that the integrity of General Ledger is always maintained;
• Develop and maintain governance framework for the financial reporting department;
• Coordinate the audit process or liaise with auditors during year-end audits;
• Ensure that all audit queries are resolved & that there are no significant audit findings;
  Consolidation of financial information;
• Prepare consolidated financial information of the company and its subsidiaries;
• Prepare annual financial statements of the company & its subsidiaries in accordance with IFRS and the relevant legislation;
• Liaise with auditors.

Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12);
• BCom Accounting/BCom Honours (CTA);
• Qualified CA (SA).

Experience:

• Completed SAICA Articles with Post Articles;
• 2/3 years’ experience in finance related roles;
• Must have commercial industry experience;
• Clients within finance services/Insurance/Investment; banking OR Manufacturing/Retail /FMCG and Property would be beneficial;
• Must have leadership skills-Team management.
