SUMMARY:
Our client, an internationally recognised and leading law firm in Africa is looking for an exceptional Financial Manager with experience in the legal industry to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Skills and Knowledge

CA(SA), 5 to 10 years’ experience
Advanced Excel a necessity

Desired Qualifications and Experience

Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently, accurately and use initiative
Strong leadership skills
Excellent ability to communicate both writing and verbally
Computer literacy in Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook Application details

Duties and Responsibility:

Review and finalise Management Accounts
Review and circulate all firm and departmental reporting
Monthly operational cashflow forecast
Oversee full accounting function
Authorise changes to Chart of Accounts
YE audit
Complex accounting fixes, investigations as a result of billing and or AP errors
Formalise accounting policies and procedures
Identify process improvements
Oversee Accounts payable (professional and trade creditors) and assist with complex vendor reconciliations
Oversee Accounts Receivable
Oversee the Bank & Cash function including assisting with payment releasing
Manage Trust Funds
Manage the Task Based Billing management (by matter)
Salary Reconciliations
Review month end reconciliation file
Annual budget preparation
Preparation of partner salaries
FICA, FATCA and POPI compliance
Ensure continuous Tax Compliance
Assist with BBBEE audit
Vendor, client and matter record management
Commissioner of Oath
