Qualifications and Experience

B.Compt Degree

Completed SAICA Articles

Ghost practice experience – Essential

Financial Management experience from within the Legal Industry Sector is required

Minimum of 5 years within a financial Management position experience

Xero system Experience advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities

· Ensure stipulated financial deadlines are adhered to, to mitigate risk of late financial reporting

· Managing and Supervising staff – Ensure all staff work according to KDI’s and achive relevant deadlines

· Report Directing into CFO and Group Financial Manager

· Effective Cash Flow control

· Ensure accurate processing of transactions

· Ensure all Legal fees are billed to various Clients

· Ensure accurate Financial Reporting to EXCO Members

· Preparation of monthly management accounts

· FINCO Reports

· Monitoring and developing financial processes and procedures

· Managing the salvage and recovery process and payments

· Together with the other Financial Managers, ensure smooth running of the Financial Department

· Daily cash flow and management reporting

· Management and maintenance of the fixed asset control system

· Oversee certain payroll activities

· Effectively manage the oversight of stock control

· Statutory and Tax compliance

· Preparing Annual Budgets

· Assist the external Auditors with Annual Financial audits

· Financial risk management

· Assist the CFO with any financial requirements

· Seeking cost reduction opportunities

· Ensure sound financial processes and procedures are met

· Ensure effective communication across various departments effectively
