JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Financial Manager that will build good relationships with various stakeholders within a mining holding company. This is a very deadline driven role where the incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Manage and review weekly and monthly reporting deliverables
Quarterly forecast and annual budgeting
Managing internal and external auditors as well as the reporting team
Effective communication with colleagues, clients, suppliers, regulators, and other internal and external stakeholders
Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiencies within the Finance Department e.g. development and training plans
Responsible for the integrity of financial systems
Dealing with SARS requests for information (for the operations), VAT and tax calculations
Perform ad-hoc tasks as instructed by the Group Accountant, general administration and filing duties as required

Requirements

CA (SA)
5 - 8 years' experience in Mining, Manufacturing or heavy metal industries
At least 2 years' experience in a managerial role within a large corporate environment
