JOB DESCRIPTION:

A multibillion role player in the agricultural and energy industry with international representation in a few countries requires the services of a Financial Manager to head up the financial team of Accountants, Bookkeepers, Account Clerks and Administrators. The incumbent will report to the Group Financial Manager.

The company has been operational for over 20 years and is involved in agricultural activities such as grain, raw materials, fertiliser and livestock trading and marketing.

The Financial Manager will be driven by passion, service and integrity to create a world-class company to enhance its legacy as a formidable investment group.

The position is based in Pretoria East.

Requirements:

A professionally qualified CA, CIMA or SAIPA Accountant with at least 2 – 3 years’ financial management experience.

The ability to take responsibility for a finance team not only on a professional level, but also as a mentor who is positively committed to the development and upliftment of people and their general wellbeing.

Fluent in both English and Afrikaans with an excellent command of writing skills in both languages.

Attention to detail.

A strong leader can clearly and concisely communicate goals, tasks and other organisational needs to their team.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and gvaforuide the team with regards to the following and take responsibility for:

Full accounting function
Debtors & Creditors
Cash flow management and forecasting
Inventory Control
Fixed Asset Register
VAT and Tax submissions
Journals
Management Accounts
General Ledger
Balance Sheet
Interest Calculations
FOREX
Liaison with bank and auditors.
