Duties:

Preparing monthly management reporting
Assist in preparing annual Group budget
Support IFRS 17 implementations for management reporting
Review of and support for technical working papers that serve as input to the annual financial statements and integrated report
IFRS 17 implementation (including system specifications and testing, transition disclosures, assessing impact on other areas such as capital risk management disclosures, etc.)
General IFRS technical support to the rest of the Group, including training sessions (group and/or individuals)

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom Honours in Accounting
CA(SA)

Experience:

SAICA articles completed
Exposure within a financial manager role would be advantageous
4-6 years post experience within a financial/insurance industry
Strong demonstrated use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must have exposure with IFRS 17
Working within African countries would be advantageous

Skills & Competencies:

Sound technical, analytical, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication skills
Able to work well under pressure
Able to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
