JOB SUMMARY:
This is a wonderful opportunity for a Finance Manager to join a company that operates in the tertiary educations space and also part of a JSE listed group. A core function of this job will be to develop and manage the finance department’s budget (expenditure and CAPEX) as well as the financial reporting of the company’s performance.

Job and Company description:

My client is in searching for a Financial Manager with a B.Com degree and at least 3 years’ experience in the educational sector. Besides the above-mentioned core duties, the incumbent will also be in charge of reviewing processes and implementing internal controls to ensure the financial integrity of systems. The Financial Manager will also oversee payment processes, creditors, service delivery, query handling and the overall management of the finance department’s performance.

As Financial Manager you will be responsible for:

Oversee the financial wellbeing of the education brand.
Develop and maintain the departments budget (expenditure and capex)
Analyse and report on the company’s financial performance on a monthly and annual basis.
Implement cost saving effects and form part of the strategic financial planning of targets and budgets.
Prepare forecasts and projections to the MD.
Review processes and implement internal controls to ensure the financial intergirty of the company’s data.
Ensure financial accounting policies are being adhered to and company is compliant with regards to the following; GAAP, IFRS, Companies Act, Income Tax Act, Vat Act and SOX.
Implement risk management systems and policies.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

B.Com Degree with 3 year’s plus experience in the educational field or servicing education clients during Articles
Ability to lead a team
