SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established and well-known player in the Telecommunications industry, is seeking a Financial Manager to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

BCom in Accounting, preferably CA (SA)
At least 5 years in an accounting environment
Management experience
Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced Excel
- Sage (beneficial)
- BI Reporting
- IFRS knowledge
- Ability to present reports at Exco Level
- Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning
- Capability to raise capital beyond traditional credit lines
- Data analysis
- Ability to produce management reports
- Inventory optimization

Main Accountabilities:

Ensure cost-effective allocation and management of company resources, including identifying cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements
Responsible for overall cost management
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments
Prepare and present accurate financial and management reports, including month-end reporting, to senior management
Act as the financial liaison between finance and operational teams, providing decision support to all operational divisions
Ensure financial alignment with business objectives and support strategic and operational decision-making through financial analysis
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to improve financial performance
Support forecasting, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial planning at departmental level
Manage annual budgeting processes at the departmental level
Partner with department heads to evaluate business cases and investment opportunities
Maintain a sound control environment, including risk assessment and internal controls management
Identify financial risks, propose mitigation strategies, and support operational teams in managing financial exposure
Support internal and external audit processes
Manage internal and external deadlines in line with agreed timetables
Streamline financial processes and reporting systems, implementing tools and systems to enhance financial visibility and control
Manage and maintain key stakeholder relationships, including liaising with corporate contacts
Ensure adherence to company policies, departmental procedures, financial policies, and compliance regulations
