JOB SUMMARY:
Urgently looking for immediately available financial manager CA(SA) with 4 – 5 years post articles

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duration: 3 months with the possibility to be extended
Availability: Immediately
Qualification: CA(SA) - SAICA

The person needs to display the following:

4 years plus experience
Able to hit the ground running
Bright; intelligent; independent/able to speak up; ask/find information etc.

Review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure that audit standard is maintained, and deadlines are met
Prepare income statements and balance sheets both at an entity and divisional level, for management reporting purposes (EXCO)
Review monthly reporting pack including variance analysis on Year on Year, Actual to Budget and Month on Month
Prepare KPI dashboards
Monitor KRI’s (net open positions, suspense accounts)
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal control framework
Assist auditors with information requests and queries during the year-end audit
Review year end ‘Audit Packs’ for reporting to the Group and auditors
Prepare annual financial statements for allocated entities
Ensure compliance with Tax Law and regulations in collaboration with Group Tax Specialist
Drive integration between line of business system and GL. Streamline processes where appropriate
Co-ordinate budgeting and forecasting process
Liaise with business unit heads on operational matters
Attend to ad hoc queries/projects
Manage and develop employees – improve efficiencies and increase competencies.
Perform reporting to regulatory and Group finance teams
Prepare annual budget for business unit and monitor performance of actual to budget monthly
Facilitate cost containment across business
Review reconciliations of MIS to GL
Drive value add projects and process enhancements
Compile data required for business cases
Provide input into Line of Business system development/enhancements/bug fixes
