Financial Manager CA(SA)

POSITION INFO:

Our Client is looking for a Financial Manager to join their team in Cape Town for an exciting new phase in the growth of their business. The group employs 1,500 staff across 37 locations in SA and has plans to double in size over the next two years, including expansion internationally.

As the Financial Manager you will be required to manage the daily finance functions of the business. The candidate will report to the Group Financial Director and interact with multiple departments.

The position will be a mix of remote and office based work with much of the team already working remotely.

Duties will include:

Preparation of management accounts and other regular reporting

Ownership of the full trial balance and related recons and processes

Oversight of a bookkeeper, accountant and creditors manager and review of their work

Key liaison for auditors

Review and approval of payments

Budgeting and variance analysis

VAT and Income Tax

Fixed assets register and related processes

Desired qualifications and experience:

Registered CA (SA)

2-3 years post articles experience

Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities

Experience managing subordinates advantageous

Self-motivated and proactive approach to problem solving

Self-driven and the ability to prioritize workloads within a pressurised environment
