Role Overview:
A reputable organisation based in Isando / Kempton Park is seeking a hands-on Financial Manager to join their finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong finance professional who thrives in an operational environment, enjoys being involved in the detail, and is passionate about driving accuracy, enhancing controls, and adding real business value.
This role goes beyond a traditional review function and requires someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working closely with the business. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the finance function, ensuring accurate reporting while providing meaningful financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the full financial function
Prepare and review management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis
Ensure full IFRS compliance, with a strong focus on IFRS 16
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Maintain and strengthen internal controls while supporting audit requirements
Partner with operational stakeholders to provide valuable financial insights
Drive process improvements while remaining actively involved in day-to-day finance operations

Requirements:

CA(SA) or CIMA qualification
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Financial Manager role
Strong technical accounting and reporting experience
IFRS 16 experience is essential
Advanced MS Excel skills
Hands-on, detail-oriented approach to financial management
Proven stability in career history
Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
