Company and Job Description:
A prominent JSE-listed organisation within the Automotive sector is looking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Financial Manager on a 6-month contract within its Motor division. This is a pivotal opportunity for a results-driven finance professional with strong analytical capability, sound commercial insight, and a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a finance team.

If you are committed to delivering accurate financial reporting, producing IFRS-compliant management accounts, and enhancing business performance through effective financial management, this role offers an excellent platform to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Provide strategic direction to the finance team by setting clear goals and objectives, while mentoring and developing team members to achieve high performance.
Month-End & General Ledger Management: Oversee and review the General Ledger, approve journal entries, open new accounts, and ensure efficient and timely month-end processes.
Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Review and approve reconciliations, confirm supporting documentation is complete, and ensure all discrepancies are resolved.
Financial Reporting: Ensure adherence to reporting deadlines, review management accounts for accuracy and compliance, and maintain alignment with Hyperion reporting requirements.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the preparation of annual budgets and manage ongoing forecast updates.
Banking & Payments: Review and approve debtor and creditor applications, reconciliations, and ad-hoc payments, and authorise transactions where required.
Additional Duties: Oversee tax and VAT reviews, prepare Annual Financial Statements (AFS), resolve sub-ledger to GL variances, and regularly assess internal controls.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed BCom degree or equivalent qualification
CIMA qualification advantageous
3–4 years’ experience in a management role
Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail
Commercially astute with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with Great Plains and Hyperion advantageous
