JOB SUMMARY:
Financial Manager (Financial Services)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client, a dynamic Financial Services Provider JHB north seeks a Financial Manager.

Candidates must possess a BCom (Hons) Honours with 5 years management experience and at least 5 years post articles

Report to CFO

3 Direct reports and 3 indirect reports

Insurance Industry or Financial Industry experience

DUTIES

Strategic and Operational scorecards
Management of the Finance team
Monthly management reporting, including trend analysis
Budgets and forecasts
Profit and cost optimisation
Finance Risk management
External and Internal Audit
Responsible for the overall accounting function
Technical accounting
Review of general ledger reconciliations
Industry analysis
Financial controls and procedures
Liaise and support Business Partners with financial procedures and controls
Finance process optimisation
Liquidity management
Finance Risk management
Operational Finance
Maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
Ad hoc analyses and investigations

Qualifications

BCom (Hons) or CA(SA)
Articles
5 years Management Experience
Essential: Prior experience in the Insurance arena will be an advantage
