JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for an experienced Financial Manager to join their team in order to manage the company's financial management function and, ensure profitability and ongoing performance as set out by the business budget.

Requirements:

Tertiary Qualification B Comm. Degree Finance with completed articles,
CIMA certificate
At least 4 years of working experience of which 2-4 years must be management experience.
Manufacturing industry experience required.
12 to 14 years experience in Finance and 5-7 years must be in a management role
Must possess strong numeric and analytical abilities. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Must be a self-motivator with a positive proactive attitude.
Attention to detail is crucial and excellent reporting skills. Must have experience of at least 5-7 years in leading a team.
Computer Literate – Proficient MS Office with advanced Excel Skills. Previous Financial software packages experience essential.
Syspro experience an advantage.
An understanding of Cost accounting is advantageous.

Duties:

Prepare, Collate and Present the annual business unit budgets.
Review and manage budget monthly.
Prepare, collate and present the business unit forecasts: Income statements, Capital Budgets
Prepare, Collate and Distribute monthly management reports: Flash and Management Accounts
Review General Ledger Reconciliations.
Complete monthly statutory packs.
Complete quarterly TAX Compilations
Liaise with GMs and Ops Manager in relation to reporting requirements
Manage Fixed Assets
Implementation of Policies and Procedures and onsite training
Develop templates for operational financial reporting
Liaise with all parties related to compliance, auditing, and or financial management
Support contact managers and operations managers with operational financial aspects
Financial Assistance with the Preparation and sign-off of Monthly Operations Report.
